Brookes catering did an amazing job at our wedding on 26 Oct 2017. All our guests said how delicious the food was, there certainly wasn’t much left on people plates, the summer fruit pudding was amazing! They catered to all our extra dietary requirements, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free etc, and their table service was perfect. Communication before the wedding was very good, and Zoe was very helpful. We would definitely recommend Brookes catering. Thank you!

Brookes Catering provided the most excellent service this weekend when catering for my daughter’s wedding celebration. Zoe ran the event with huge efficiency and energy but teamed with great good humour. She had a smile for everyone and guests cannot have failed to feel well cared for. The team were well briefed and guests remarked how nice it was that the waiting staff knew what the canapes were, knew who had dietary requirements and we’re just completely on top of their game.
We were impressed by our tasting visit and thrilled that chef could repeat such refinement on a large scale – we were about 140 dining and the event was marquee based. The compliments for the sirloin were numerous with lots remarking how wonderful it was to have a decent piece of meat not a selection of slices clearly kept warm under a heat lamp at some point. No curling at the edges sitting in gravy to prevent drying out just proper meat and a good jus added at plating. We had asked for plenty of vegetables and staff came round to offer more. Chef had even remembered that at the tasting we asked for the lemon tart to be sharpened up.
We had gluten free, dairy free, lactose intolerant and veggie guests. All were catered for beautifully but with absolutely no fuss. The gluten free guests were delighted that chef had managed to replicate a brandy snap and the lemon tart. They’d expected the usual bit of fruit or something entirely different for dessert but with his attention to detail they had the same as everyone else. They said they felt very special. The veggies too were anticipating the usual fare but there was no goats cheese tart in sight and they could not believe that with all that was going on a perfect risotto could be provided.
Zoe and the team were also very flexible and accommodating. We borrowed some equipment for earlier in the day. They managed to decorate a cheese stack with a very complex collection of herbs, edible flowers to precise instructions and deliver it as a surprise. Nothing was too much trouble.
I don’t really do recommendations. It somehow seems presumptuous but if it helps someone wondering if Brookes Catering will do a good job I would say that in my experience the answer is a very wholehearted yes ”
